Welcome! First of all we want to thank you for purchasing our product, The Litae – Minimal Portfolio Template.

Files included in package

The download package (.zip) that you get from ThemeForest contains the following files and folder:

  • litae.zip main theme file that need to be uploaded to host to install Litae theme.
  • litae-child.zip c​hild theme file that need to be uploaded to host to install Litae child theme.
  • litae-demo.xml this file contains all sample content for demo Litae theme.

Install theme

After you download the package from ThemeForest, unzip it. You’ll see a file litae.zip and litae-child.zip, which are the theme files that need to be upload and install. You can either choose to upload and install the theme using WordPress theme install or use FTP client. Install theme using WordPress install function
  • Go to Appearance » Themes and click Add New
  • Select Upload
  • Click Browse and select the litae.zip file
  • Click Install Now
  • When upload and installation process is completed, click Return to Themes page.
  • Repeat these steps for litae-child.zip file.
  • After the finished upload and installation go to Appeareance » Themes and activate Litae Child theme.
Upload and install using FTP If you get any problems when installing a theme by WordPress install function, we recommend using FTP:
  • Unzip litae.zip, you’ll get a folder litae
  • Use a FTP client like FileZilla and upload that folder to wp-content/theme folder on your host
  • Repeat these steps for liate-child.zip file.
  • After the finished upload and installation go to Appeareance » Themes and activate Litae Child theme.

After installing Litae theme, you’ll see a notification in the top of the page that says the theme needs some plugins to function properly.

To install these plugins:

  • Click Begin installing plugins
  • You’ll be redirect to a page where all needed plugins are listed.
  • Just click on Install below each plugin’s name or select all and choose bulk action install and click apply.
  • We recommended to install all plugins.
  • After installing, if it’s required to activate the plugin, just activate.

Before import demo content disable Autoptimize plugin then go to Elementor » Settings and  change value in Content Width field to 1320. Click button Save Changes.

Then go to Elementor » Tools and click button Regenerate Files on the top of page.

If you are new to WordPress and have problems with setting up the theme you might want to import the demo content file that comes with the theme. The following actions will import some dummy posts and pages from the live preview:

  • Go to Tools » Import and click Add New
  • Select WordPress from the list
  • If you haven’t installed the WordPress import plugin, a popup window will appears and ask you to install it. Just click Install Now. When the installation progress is completed, click Activate Plugin & Run Importer. If you have installed this plugin, skip to next step.
  • Click Browse and select litae-demo.xml file from the download package
  • Click Upload file and import
  • When you are asked to import author, you can create new author or import to existing author. You also should check the checkbox Download and import file attachments.
  • This could take a while.

When finished go to Elementor » Tools and click button Regenerate Files on the top of page.  Go to Appearance » Menu and assign Litae menu check checkbox Primary for Display location and click button Save Menu.

 

  • After assign Litae Menu go to Settings » Reading and for Front page displays select a static page Case Study.
  • then go to Settings » Reading choose Post name and click Save Changes button.

To show google maps you must obtain google API key here then go to Litae Theme Options » Google Map paste your key and click button Save Changes.

Activate Autoptimize plugin go to Autoptimize settings and check next checkboxes: Optimize HTML Code, Optimize JavaScript Code, Optimize CSS Code and click button Save Changes and Empty Cache.
